On May 23rd Edwin Gould Services for Children and Families (EGSCF) held its annual
ARTrageous Gala Dinner and Art Auction in Lower Manhattan.
ARTrageous Founder Linda Argila welcomed guests to a lively reception at which guests mingled
and bid on silent auction items. CBS 2 News Reporter Cindy Hsu emceed a dinner awards program that
honored artist/philanthropist Romero Britto; and philanthropists Lise Evans, Jonathan Tibett,
Silvia Zoullas, and Sophocles Zoullas for their longtime involvement in charitable causes and support of EGSCF.
The fundraiser benefits foster children, some of whom collaborate with artists to create work for auction.

The ARTrageous Gala featured a live auction conducted by George McNeely of Christie's.
Honorary Chairs for the event were Donald Beachler, Henry Buhl, Michelle Johnson, Russel Johnson, and Eli Wilner.
Co-Chairs were Susan R. Kessler, Nicole Miller, Debra Wasser, and Victoria Baran.
Artists who contributed to the auction included Alex Katz, Jeff Koons, Justine Koons, Spencer Tunick, Roberto Dutesco,
Yoko Ono, Donald Baechler, James Rosenquist, William Wegman, Ross Bleckner, Romero Britto, and Peter Max.
Edwin Gould Services for Children and Families was founded in 1927 by Edwin Gould
to protect and nurture children whose families cannot care for them. EGSCF's goal is to strengthen families
and prevent children and adolescents from entering foster care. The organization provides comprehensive support and clinical
intervention to survivors of domestic violence, operates certified offices for People with Developmental Disabilities, and provides
and residential sites.
