Sandbox Studio Presents Fashion Delivers: The Pre Shows
250 Hudson Street, NY, NY | 01.27.2012 | by Merry Esparza and Alan Horowitz
On Friday, January 27th Sandbox Studio presented Fashion Delivers: The Pre Shows, a
fundraiser to benefit Fashion Delivers Charitable Foundation, a non-profit industry-based organization
helping to fight daily poverty and aid the survivors of natural disasters. The benefit featured runway shows with selected looks by
up‐and‐coming designers Shumaq, Man vs. Machine, and Karolina Zmarlak.
Ford provided models for the shows. Approximately 300 professionals in fashion and related businesses
attended the event, which included a cocktail party, a luxury silent auction, and musical entertainment.

Sandbox Studio created a "Luxury Lounge" environment
in its expansive location featuring beautiful river and city views. Here guests sipped beverages, enjoyed passed hors d'oeuvres,
and bid on silent auction merchandise donated by top designer brands in apparel, home fashions, hospitality and other industries.
Popchips distributed complimentary snacks and
AriZona
provided tasty beverages. Additionally, AriZona collaborated with designer Man vs. Machine
to create limited edition Fashion Delivers t-shirts featuring a cherry blossom branch reminiscent
of an AriZona Green Tea can design. One hundred percent of t-shirt sale proceeds were donated
to Fashion Delivers.
Stylelikeu Founders and Editors-in-Chief, Elisa Goodkind
and Lily Mandelbaum emceed the runway shows and singer/musician
Jessica Latshaw entertained the audience on ukulele during show breaks.
Fashion Delivers was founded in 2005 when industry leaders came together to provide
relief to victims from Hurricane Katrina and Rita. Since then they have donated over $100 million in home goods and apparel
to people fighting daily poverty and natural disasters. They provide companies with an economic and philanthropic alternative
to disposing excess inventory with a very efficient overhead; $1 of cash helps move $25 of donated products.
Their donations are distributed through networks of local agencies nationwide.
